Earlier this month, I went to Prague for a few days with my friend and it's such an incredible city! We flew out on the Wednesday evening and came back Saturday morning so we literally only had two full days to explore but we definitely made the most of it.

We bought a two day pass for the Hop On Hop Off bus that they had (always the best way to make sure that you see everything) and did a lot of walking (15.5 miles over the two days) because most of the attractions were in similar areas. The first day was cloudy and a bit chilly but the second day we had sunshine and it was around 22 degrees so luckily not all of our photos are grey and gloomy!

We visited Prague Castle, the John Lennon wall, Charles Bridge, Wenceslas Square, the Astronomical Clock, the Karel Zeman museum, the Dancing House and obviously managed to fit in a bit of shopping as well although for once, I didn't actually buy anything (I took £103 worth of Czceh Koruna which worked out at 2800CZK and spent almost all of it on food/tourist attractions).

If anyone is looking for somewhere to go for a weekend break or longer, I would definitely recommend Prague. There are so many things to do, something to see around every corner and the colourful buildings and historical architecture are amazing. Here are a few photos from my trip :)

Last weekend I went to Sheffield to see my faves, The Vamps, on their Night and Day tour. It was my third time seeing them in Sheffield (The first time I saw them was whilst I was at uni so now whenever they tour there, I get to go back and visit) and my friend came with me so I got to introduce her to their music as well as show her around where I used to live, study etc.

We stayed in an Air BnB that was a few minutes away from The Moor so we spent the day shopping and sightseeing before going for a meal and then headed to the FlyDSA Arena.

The concert was incredible. The Vamps never disappoint and always put on a great show; they're one of my favourite acts to see live because the atmosphere is so fun and energetic and you can tell that everyone is having the best time.  I honestly think I am at my happiest when I'm at a concert - getting to see your favourite band/singer in person and being surrounded by people who are equally as excited as you is such a great feeling!

After the concert we went for cocktails and headed back to our accommodation. We woke up early on the Sunday and went for one last wander before going for breakfast at The Cabin where we finished our trip with some amazing Nutella and maple syrup pancakes.

The trip was an early birthday present from me to me (I think it was pretty successful even if I do say so myself!) and I had a lovely weekend reliving uni life and making memories :)

I'd only heard good things about The Greatest Showman and it definitely did not disappoint. I saw the film last Tuesday evening and by Wednesday morning I'd downloaded the soundtrack and was well on my way to learning all of the words to all of the songs.

Set in 1840's New York, this musical film follows the struggles and triumphs of Hugh Jackman's character, P.T. Barnum, as he creates the Barnum & Bailey Circus, along with his wife (Michelle Williams), playwright Phillip Carlyle (Zac Efron) and a host of unique and interesting acts including a trapeze artist, Anne Wheeler (Zendaya), a Swedish opera singer (Rebecca Ferguson) and a bearded lady (Keala Settle). The set (which reminded me of the one I was lucky enough to film on last year), costumes, dancers and supporting cast are fantastic and the way in which the story is told is so creative and unique. The film also features eleven original musical numbers and personally, I didn't listen to the soundtrack before watching as I wanted to experience it as a whole for the first time. However, if you do want a taste of what you're going to see, my favourite songs are 'Never Enough' and 'Rewrite the Stars'.

With elements of ambition, love, friendship and heartache paired with toe-tapping melodies, meaningful lyrics and an insanely talented cast (including the resurrection of musical Zac Efron, I've missed you), The Greatest Showman is a fresh, feel-good, family film that has quickly become one of my favourites.

As some of you may know, I am a massive film geek and I've been working my way through the list of summer movies that I've been waiting eagerly to watch over the last few months.

The new Bourne film was the one that I was most looking forward to as I loved the first three films (lets not talk about the fourth..) and couldn't wait to see Matt Damon back on the big screen as the rogue, CIA-hating action hero that is Jason Bourne. If you haven't watched any of the previous films, it isn't a necessity and you will still be able to enjoy the sequel without getting confused. However, I would obviously recommend that you do watch The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum as you are definitely missing out.


From the second the film starts, it is full throttle action from beginning to end. The car chases, fight
sequences, explosions, gadgets, twists and turns literally do not stop throughout the entire 123 minutes and that's exactly what I expected, and wanted, from a Bourne movie. I loved that they brought back the character of Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) who pulls Jason Bourne back into the world of the CIA and his past and it was nice to see how their relationship stayed intact even though he had been off the grid for a number of years. Alicia Vikander is also in the film and plays a very stern, intelligent member of the CIA's technical team. I both loved and hated her character throughout the plot and Alicia is an asset to the franchise. The story is very similar to the other Bourne films, obviously the route they chose to go down for the other three films paid off so they stuck to it, however, it does feel like the final film as it ties up a lot of loose ends and answers the ultimate question that everyone wants to know - how did David Webb become Jason Bourne?

Overall, I'd give Jason Bourne a 4/5. It is action-packed, has an incredible car chase (apparently they destroyed 120 cars!), the story line is fast-paced and answers questions from the previous films - plus, it has an amazing supporting cast.

My Mallorca Highlights post from last year proved to be quite popular and so I thought I would do another post on my holiday to the smallest of the Balaeric islands, Ibiza.

To most people, the words "I'm going to Ibiza" usually conjure up images of neon slogan t-shirts, rowdy stag/hen dos, questionable boat parties, drugs, fish bowls and reality TV stars disgracing themselves in public (*cough* Geordie Shore). But for me, those descriptions could not be further from the truth.

This year marked the 6th time that I've been on holiday to Ibiza and I was once again reminded why it is my favourite place. I usually stay in Es Cana or Santa Eulalia which are on the North East side of the island - far far away from the capital of San Antonio which is where the party stereotype of Ibiza is fulfilled. Although I would like to experience the club scene in Ibiza one day, I have only ever holidayed there with my parents and so staying in the tranquil, quiet, picturesque resorts is what I'm used to and there are no complaints from me.

In June, my Mum and I stayed in Cala Nova (Es Cana) for a week and the hotel had the best views that I have ever seen. It overlooked Cala Nova beach which apparently, is a favourite with the rich and famous as Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted there last year! However, even if I had seen him emerging from the sea in James-Bond-slow-mo style, it couldn't have made the view any better....well, maybe a little bit. Not only was the location incredible but so was the weather, the food and everything we did. Unfortunately, both my Mum and I caught a cold before we flew out and although we spent a large proportion of the week coughing and sneezing, we didn't let it ruin our holiday and still got to enjoy a boat trip, the famous Hippy Market, a Michael Jackson tribute (his name is Navi and he's amazing), Ibiza town and the usual shopping trips, beach walks and paddles in the sea.

Even though Ibiza will always be well-known for its nightlife, the island offers so much more than just cheap alcohol and DJ's. I highly recommend visiting one of the traditional, less tourist-y areas so that you can fully appreciate how beautiful the island really is and I guarantee that everyone will fall in love with it just like I did :)
